Enrolment Fees for Government-subsidised courses at GippsTAFE in 2010 are made up of three components as follows:
• Tuition Contribution. This fee is set by the Minister for Education and charges vary per student contact hour according to the Course Category e.g. Foundation (Foundation level and pre-accredited) $1.08; Skills Creation (Certificate I and II) $1.40; Apprenticeships and Traineeships $1.37; Skills Building (Certificate III and IV) $1.62 and Skills Deepening (Diploma and Advanced Diploma) $3.25.
Minimum and maximum fees apply to each category.
Eligibility criteria to access a government subsidised training place also apply.
• Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). This fee is set by the Institute and is charged at $0.30 per hour of enrolment, with a minimum of $12.00 and maximum of $192.00 per calendar year. The SSAF is a compulsory fee charged at GippsTAFE to fund a range of support services and amenities offered to students.
• Materials Charges. Materials charges are set by individual departments and vary for different courses. They may include such things as consumables (e.g. paper, handouts and materials used during your study), excursion costs, supplies for specific training such as first aid, costs associated with police checks, etc. Further details regarding the materials charges for the course you are studying can be obtained from the relevant department.

Enrolment Fees for non Government- subsidised training at GippsTAFE are set by the department facilitating the course, and are calculated on a fee for service basis.
Further details can be obtained from the relevant department.
