Students who have struggled with the English language, reading, writing or numeracy in the past, can still reach their training goals at GippsTAFE. Our Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program improves students' language, literacy and numeracy skills so they can participate more effectively in training or in the workforce.

Key program features

After an assessment our experienced staff place the student in a class stream that focuses on their individual training needs. Most training is delivered by our instructors in a face-to-face environment, though some distance-mode training is also available. Training can also be vocationally oriented, so you can improve your skills within your chosen career.

This style of learning can help open doors to training and career options that were previously shut.

GippsTAFE is a contracted supplier of teaching and assessment services under the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Programme funded by DEEWR.

Eligibility

This course is only available to Centrelink clients who are referred to the program by Centrelink or a Job Network Agency.
