Course Overview

This course provides a solid foundation in the theory and practice of caring for parks and gardens. The program aims to provide the student with the necessary skills to assist the gardener inthe planting and propagation of trees, bushes, flowers and turf: treat of pests, weeds and diseases; and operation of machinery and equipment.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be eligible to be assessed for a National Certificate of Competency.

To undertake a VETiS Program with GippsTAFE participants must be enrolled with a secondary education provider or school

Assessment

This is VCE VET accredited course.

This course does not contain a VCE Scored Assessment.

VCE Students will be eligible for a 10% increment in their ENTER Score.

Course participants will be eligible to apply for THREE Block Credits for Units 1 and 2 in their first year.

Course participants will be eligible to apply for TWO Block Credits for Units 3 and 4 in their second year.
