Course Overview

The Diploma of VET (Vocational Education and Training) Practice enables teachers, trainers and facilitators to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge, while presenting an opportunity for career advancement within the TAFE sector.

Areas of study include developing learning resources and strategies, innovation, e-learning, advanced facilitation and assessment, research and maintaining professional practice.

This course is designed to meet the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Multi-Business Agreement.

Entry Requirements

  • TAA40104 or BSZ40198 with evidence of TAA equivalence and:
    • Candidates must be in a position to teach within a TAFE, RTO or other education environment
    • Candidates must have an agreed commitment from a workplace mentor and supervisor to support the 200hrs of teaching practicum
    • Candidates must be able to attend classes as per the timetable
