Course Overview

This course will introduce the fundamental elements of SLR Photography including; camera construction, exposure, aperture and depth of field, shutter speed, white balance, focussing and setting u the camera's spot metering systems (auto and manual exposure and focussing).

Students will learn how to operate a SLR camera and become aware of the facilities provided by their camera, along with basic composition and picture framing techniques.

This photography class will encourage experimentation of the fundamental elements discussed each week. Photos demonstrating specific examples of photographic technique will be discussed each week.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon completion of this course students will receive a Statement of Participation.
