Course Overview

This qualification is designed for people wanting to gain employment in a pharmacy as a general pharmacy assistant. Pharmacy assistants not only deliver customer service but also need to have a general knowledge of pharmacy and general health products.

This course will help you to be able to serve/interact with customers, merchandise products, control stock, understand the range of products, be able to communicate with customers identifying needs and provide appropriate advice or referral.

This course includes practical placement so you can develop your skills in a real life environment to complement the high quality training you will receive at GippsTAFE.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate II in Community Pharmacy.
