Course Overview
This course will teach you the skills and knowledge needed to extract and serve espresso coffee. An expert, industry-trained barista will teach you the best techniques to make a great coffee to attract customers or to impress your friends and family. You will learn how to how coffee is made in a café setting and have the opportunity to produce coffee using a commercial machine.
Course structureIn this course you will learn about:
- Equipment familiarisation and safety
- Tempering
- Coffee beans
- Coffee roasting
- Coffee art
- Blending
- Extracting coffee
- Texturising milk
- Cleaning and maintaining the coffee machine and grinder.
This course is designed for the at home or commercial coffee enthusiast. It is also suitable for people wishing to enter the industry or up skill. Training can be undertaken either in scheduled classes or staff training may be arranged in the workplace with our mobile coffee training centre.
Qualifications And Recognition
Upon completion of this course students will receive a Statement of Participation.Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
