Course Overview

Hairdressing is more than just cutting and styling hair. It's about creating a look for every client, so you need to use your creative skills as well as your practical ones.

Hairdressing qualifications can lead to many work opportunities, from owning your own salon to working with models and celebrities for film and television work.

At GippsTAFE you'll develop your skills through the world renowned training resources of Pivot Point Academy. That means you'll be getting the best training available in Australia!

This course will give you a broad overview of hairdressing and a head start on gaining a hairdressing apprenticeship. Plus, you'll be able to complete your apprenticeship faster.

Dual Certificate
This new DUAL certificate is an exciting NEW opportunity for students who desire a career in the hairdressing and beauty industries.  It offers the best of both worlds which can be very useful if you are a little undecided as to which industry might suit you best or if you want to work towards a career in both industries that naturally complement each other.

This course is suitable for both school leavers and candidates wanting a career change.

On successful completion of this dual certificate it gives students an entry level qualification into both industries.  Students can then choose to follow their chosen career paths within Hairdressing, Beauty or both with further study in Certificate III, IV or Diploma levels at GippsTAFE.
