Course Overview

This course prepares students for employment is specialised support services through theoretical learning and industy-based work placement.  You will develop the skills you need to work in service delivery, either direct client work and/or health promotion and community development projects.

Graduates of this program, employed in industry, will be expected to operate at an advanced skill level, may have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers, and are required to have an understanding of indigenous culture and history.

This Course also includes approximately 200-400 hours of industry placement which will be arranged by GippsTAFE.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Diploma of Community Services Work.

• work history - applicants will be required to be currently working in a relevant field and/or have completed a Certificate IV qualification in an appropriate field
