Entry Requirements

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or over as of course commencement date with a general interest in the Children Services field. Potential students are required to undertake a literacy and numeracy test and interview.

Assessment is based on a combination of written reports, oral presentation, participation in class projects and work place assessment.

Opportunities For Further Study

The Certificate III in Children's Services is a prerequisite to the Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care).

For graduates of the Certificate III in Children's Services who continue into the Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) and successfully complete it, there may be articulation into the Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies at Melbourne universities that specialise in Early Childhood Studies.
