Course Overview

If you like being outdoors and working with your hands, a career in building could be just what you are looking for.

This course will give you the skills you need to be involved in industrial and domestic construction. You will learn how to construct basic framework, scaffolding and footings. It also covers the safe use and maintenance of a wide range of tools.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate II in Construction Pathways (Carpentry).

Assessment is based on National Industry Competency Standards. That is, you need to demonstrate your ability to perform specific skills. It is done through a combination of observation, written assignments, tests and practical application in simulated workplace conditions.
