Course Overview

A career in beauty therapy could see you working in exotic locations or setting up your own day spa or salon.

Enrol at GippsTAFE and use state-of-the-art equipment while being taught by highly qualified teachers with up-to-the minute industry experience. A broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services including facials, advanced facials, body massage, body treatments, hair removal, spa treatments, lash and brow treatments, manicure and pedicure services, make-up and many other units.

This course will provide you with the skills you need to work in a salon or day spa in a supervisory or management role or as a beauty therapist.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

Entry Requirements

  • Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent) or mature age.
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview or complete a literacy test.

Assessment is competency based and includes observation, written assignments, tests, practical application in simulated workplace conditions and practical placement.

Specialist Course Information

Course requires 200 hours of work placement.
