Course Overview

This qualification covers workers who provide a range of services to clients in a range of settings. Work may take place in a range of contexts such as community based organisations, residential aged care facilities. Workers may have supervisory responsibilities. These may include providing effective support, communication, management, current industry based requirements, safety procedures and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Aged Care.

Employment Prospects

Employment could be within residential aged care facilities or community based organisations within the Aged Care sector.

Entry Requirements

  • All students must have completed CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
  • All students must be currently working within the industry or be willing to undertake a 200 hour work placement.

Pre-Requisites

To gain entry into CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care a candidate must be recognised as competent, through a recognised training program or recognition process, against the following core units from CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent):
