When I finished year 12 I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I was nervous because I wasn't ready to leave home yet but I really needed to make a decision.

I was really interested in travel and working with people, my careers advisor recommended this course to me and I thought I'd give it a go. At first I was hesitant, all my friends were going to University, but I'm so glad I decided to give TAFE a try! 

The skills I am gaining at GippsTAFE will carry through my entire life. I have become more confident in myself, I am getting real experience and I am starting to figure out what type of career I will be looking for when I finish.

I have real opportunities to run activities and scenarios that are just the same as the jobs I will be doing in the future. At TAFE you get practical and realistic training, the type that really means something to employers.

Thanks to GippsTAFE I had the right skills to get a job in the hospitality industry. I am working for a local restaurant and I love it.

I honestly look forward to coming to TAFE! I love that every day is different, it's fun and exciting. I love that I am constantly challenged and that I am really learning something new each day.

Coming to TAFE turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I haven't looked back since!
