Certificate II and III in Painting and Decorating

I did my Pre-apprenticeship (Certificate II) at GippsTAFE, so I knew it was a great place to study. I secured my apprenticeship and came back to GippsTAFE to do Certificate III.

GippsTAFE has been a great support to me in starting my career. I have developed the skills I need through hands-on training and received a lot of encouragement from the teachers. The teachers have real experience in the industry and they were able to give me a lot of great advice before I went out into the work place.

I was awarded a Certificate of Merit for the Best 2nd Year Apprentice Certificate in 2009, as well as the GippsTAFE Outstanding 3rd Year Apprentice Award for Painting and Decorating. This sort of recognition is great out in the job market.

I am also proud to have recently received a Young Achiever Award for the Baw Baw Shire. My experience and success at GippsTAFE was important part of this. GippsTAFE helped me have the skills and confidence to succeed.

I would recommend GippsTAFE to anyone looking to do a Pre-apprenticeship. It's great and they offer a lot of opportunities for hands-on experience to prepare you for the work force.
